Children’s University Hospital Patients
The Administration Team in the Front Office is the first line of contact between the patient presenting to the Unit and the Metabolic Team when attending for their appointment. We greet each patient and ensure all contact details of that patient are up to date, before notifying the Metabolic Team of their arrival.
The Administration Team have many responsibilities including:
- Dealing with all phone calls to the Unit, the nature of which can vary widely from day to day, pulling of charts for weekly clinics, typing up of all clinic visits, letters, reports and correspondence for the Consultant staff, organising medical letters and prescriptions requested by patients/parents via phone or e-mail, filing of reports and correspondence into patient charts, and in doing all of the above, ensuring hospital policies and protocols are adhered to at all times.
