Metabolic Day 29 September 2016
A drop in session was held in Temple Street for all staff on updates from the metabolic service. These included: the PKU texting system for results, research posters, a year of the website and condition specific story books for children.
European PKU Symposium
The European PKU Symposium will be taking place in Amsterdam in October 2016. A number of healthcare professionals will attend and present.
SSIEM Symposium 2016
The SSIEM symposium is taking place in Rome in September 2016. A number of healthcare professionals from NCIMD will be attending and presenting.
Grand Round Presentations June 2016
Dr. Noelle Enright received an award for her presentation relating to Congenital Disorders of Glycosylation.
Bi-Annual TSCUH Research Day
A number of projects were presented at the Research, Audit and Quality Improvement Day on Friday, 17th June. Topics included ERT, Maternal PKU, Galactosaemia and Kuvan trial.
Panceltic Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition
The 3rd Panceltic Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition meeting took place on April 15th in Dublin. Dr. Ellen Crushell presented on metabolic liver disease.
Dietary Management of Inherited Metabolic Disorders
Ms Aoife Fitagerald, Senior Metabolic Dietitian recently presented ‘Breastfeeding in Urea Cycle Disorder’ at the ‘Dietary Management of Inherited Metabolic Disorders’ conference sponsored by Nutricia Metabolics in London April 2016.

Metabolic Module
